S.S. Eastern Breeze (Design 1125, EFC Hull 2025)

Inspected in the 12th Naval District for Navy records on 14 November 1919 and given the identification number ID 4206. She was delivered to the EFC and to her operator on the same date. This photo was on the back of the ship's Navy inspection data (SP/ID) card and probably dates from the time of the inspection.

Photographed on 18 February 1944 near the Virginia Capes headed northeast by a blimp from ZP-14 based at NAS Weeksville, North Carolina. She was built by the Uraga Dock Co., Uraga, Japan. The pairs of short posts between the modified hatch covers show that she had been reconfigured as a collier. (Click photo to enlarge)
