Notes: Following negotiations with the Japanese in March and April 1918, the EFC contracted on 15 May 1918 with the Mitsubishi Shipyard Co., Nagasaki, Japan, for two 8360-ton Design 1126 ships, EFC Hulls 2030-2031 and Yard Nos. 315-316. It also contracted on 16 May 1918 with the Uchida Shipyard Co., Kawasaki, Japan, for two ships of the same design, EFC Hulls 2032-2033 and Yard Nos. 5-6.

Specifications: Design 1126 (S.S. Eastern Crown, EFC Hull 2030): Steel Cargo. Deadweight tons: 8360 designed, 8400 actual. Dimensions: 400' length pp x 54.5' beam mld. x 30' depth mld., 24.7' draft loaded. Propulsion: 1 screw, 1 triple expansion engine, 3 Scotch boilers, 3200 IHP, 10.5 kts. Configuration: 3-island, 2 decks, 5 holds, 5 hatches.
