    One of the ship's divisions posing on the main deck in front of the pilot house during the 1914 Alaskan Radio Expedition.
    This division probably worked in this part of the ship. Note the Sailors inside the pilot house and the mascot, a bear cub, on a leash held by one of the division officers.

    USS Buffalo

    Sailors posing on one of the ship's steam launches during the 1914 Alaskan Radio Expedition.
    The launch has been run up on the beach. The group may be one of the divisions that operated the ship's numerous boats. It may also include some of the civilian personnel embarked on the expedition.
