USC&GS Explorer

The near-sister ship of Pathfinder (AGS-1) at Kodiak, Alaska, in 1942.
This ship, slightly smaller than Pathfinder, was built a year before her and served in the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey throughout World War II.
