In reduced commission at the Norfolk Navy Yard on 11 March 1921.
The panoramic photograph was taken by Crosby, Naval Photographer, Portsmouth, Va.

Compared to the March 1921 view above, her navigating bridge including the bridge wings have been partially enclosed and the black paint at the top of the smokestack has been extended down. These and other changes may have been made when the ship was reactivated in May 1921.
