S.S. E. R. Kemp

This medium-sized tanker was initially selected for acquisition to fulfill a requirement from General MacArthur but her sister ship S.S Daniel Pierce was soon substituted and became USS Shikellamy (AOG-47). This U.S. Coast Guard photo shows E. R. Kemp near an American port on 14 July 1943.
