USS William Ward Burrows (AP-6)

Photographed circa 1940 soon after entering service.
Note the small 3"/23 gun forward, the open 50-foot motor launches with their sponson in the forward well deck, and the open 40-foot motor launches on deck aft. Bowditch (AG-30, later AGS-4) was practically identical as converted except that her motor launches had been converted to sounding boats.
