Bali (Dutch Freighter, 1917).
Served as USS Bali (ID # 2483) in 1918-1919

Bali, a 6694 gross ton freighter, was launched at Rotterdam in 1917. She was interned at New York and, in March 1918, taken over by the Navy for service with the Naval Overseas Transportation Service (NOTS) and placed in commission as USS Bali (ID # 2483). Soon afterwards, the ship carried Army supplies to France and thereafter operated in European waters. She was decommissioned at Amsterdam in late May 1919 and returned to her owner.

Photographed circa 1917-1918, with Dutch neutrality markings on her bow.
Launched in 1917 by Rotterdam Droogd. Maat. at Rotterdam, this ship was acquired for the Navy on 21 March 1918 and placed in commission as USS Bali (ID-2483) on 27 March 1918. She was decommissioned on 30 May 1919 and returned to her owner.
