USS Mauna Kea (AE 22)
Off the Mare Island Naval Shipyard on 18 September 1957. She and Suribachi (AE 21) had traditional replenishment rigs with three tall kingpost pairs.

USS Haleakala (AE 25)
At the Bethlehem-Sparrows Point Shipyard (their Hull 4564) on 30 September 1959. The 3"/50 gun battery on the stern was replaced in the 1960s with a helicopter deck for vertical replenishment. The two Calmar Line Liberty ships behind her are Flomar and Pennmar.

USS Nitro (AE 23)
Departing Narragansett Bay for sea in July 1962 as originally built. Note the curved hoods on top of the large replenishment kingposts which contained heavy counterweights.

USS Suribachi (AE 21)
In the Atlantic Ocean on 30 November 1989 coming alongside USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Her 3"/50 gun mounts, which never received shields, were removed after 1983.
