USS Vega (AF 59)
Photographed by USS Midway on 20 July 1962 with her original armament and with the port half of an experimental M-frame between the forward kingpost pairs. This was installed to test the rig designed for the Sacramento (AOE 1) class and was then briefly retained for operational use.
