Being raised by USS Mender (ARSD 2) accompanied by USS Salvager (ARSD 3) and craft of the Buck Kreihs Company of New Orleans after Hurricane "Betsy." Operations began in late September 1965 and the ship was fully afloat on 8 November 1965.
