French Scarabée (AN 94)

At Ostend, Belgium, soon after being admitted to active service in 1955. She is not carrying her armament, and the French netlayers may have carried their guns only when their missions called for it.

French Cigale (AN 98)

In the Penfeld at Brest on 26 July 1970 with Araignée (ex USS Hackberry, AN 25) outboard. Araignée, one of the original U.S. small netlayers, served the French from 13 November 1944 until condemned on 13 June 1977 and was stationed at Brest from 1956. Both ships are without armament.

Spanish CR-1 (AN 101)

Probably at Almería with two ex-US LSMs, two Spanish-built LCTs of the French EDIC type, and behind them the ex-US AKA Castilla (TA-21). CR-1 displays her original side number and carries her full armament. The EDICs entered service in 1966, helping date the photo.
