USNS John Lewis (T-AO 205)

Pierside at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), on 4 November 2022. After delivery in July the ship was then in the beginning months of a year-long ship qualification trials schedule. This had been paused by NSWC PHD for a stores resupply and minor repairs by builder representatives. The ship's fuel and cargo UNREP delivery stations use the new Electric Standard Tensioned Replenishment Alongside Method (E-STREAM) technology, designed by NSWC PHD. USNS John Lewis is the first oiler to have the new E-STREAM systems on board, and these trials gave the command’s UNREP team members their first opportunity to see the system installed on a ship. The first block after being placed on the ways on 27 April 2023. The sister on the ways behind her appears to be almost complete, suggesting that this is actually a view of the first block of Robert F Kennedy (T-AO 208) in December 2022 with Earl Warren (T-AO 207) nearly ready for launching a month later behind it.
