SS Edward Richardson on 4 February 1944
Mobile, Alabama, Reserve Fleet

Portions of MARAD's Mobile Reserve Fleet moored in the Tensaw River in 1964, looking south past Gravine Island and north towards the L & N railroad bridge. Around 125 of the 253 ships then in the fleet are visible here. The fleet included three of the ten EC2-S-22a conversions, which likely were hard to distinguish from its 173 other Liberty ships.
