T2-SE-A1 Jumbo (T-AO 166)
Illustration for T-AO 166-167 in the Fiscal Year 1966 building program publicity pamphlet (dated 15 Jun 1965) and repeated in the FY 1967 pamphlet (dated 15 Jun 1966). The program called for jumboizing existing T2 tankers by fitting a new mid-ship section to increase petroleum cargo capacity. The photo is of an unmodified T-AO 49 class ship.

USNS Cache (T-AO 67)
A T-AO 49 class T2 tanker in postwar MSTS service, probably after her FRAM II overhaul in 1964. The surviving ships of this class all got this overhaul between 1963 and 1966, with Suamico and Tallulah being the last to receive it.

SS Prairie Grove
One of several civilian T2 tankers jumboized in 1961-62 by the Maryland Shipbuilding and Drydock Co. for Mathiasen’s Tanker Industries and Tankships using new midsections built overseas. The new ship measured 633.5' length oa, 75.1' beam, and 27,344 deadweight tons against the original 523.5' length oa, 68.2' beam, and 16,613 dwt.
